Bryce is FOUR!

Bryce turned four on  May 24th. And don't worry. He won't let you forget that he is now four. To him he must have crossed some invisible boundary between being a little kid to being a big kid. He is doing things now that on May 23rd he wouldn't do. For example, on his birthday, he came running into my room all excited because he got himself dressed. Without my help. He said it was because he was four now. And he won't let me help him go to the bathroom. Because he's four, although the week before it was competely okay to help him. Four is so big!

This year Bryce shared his family party with his dad. We had everyone over for cake and ice cream (to see that party, check out the post below). Bryce chose to go to Chuck E Cheese's for his party. I'm no huge fan of Chuck E Cheese's, mostly because, without fail, I always lose one of my kids, but the boys were so excited to go that I caved. What a pushover.

Bryce invited his good friend Macade to come, and we had to invite Macade's parents. Hey, if Bryce is inviting a friend, we get to invite friends too! Carissa and Adam came with their kids (who love Chuck E Cheese's as much as their cousins!) and my parents made a cameo appearance. The boys had fun playing games, eating pizza, and running around. It was a great day for Bryce, who is now realizing how fun birthdays can be!

Bryce wanted Monster cupcakes for his party. Aren't they cute monsters??
Cole had no idea he was in a princess carriage.
Cole and Macade are completely comfortable with their manhood! Pink is the new black, right?
Rix plays to win. The more tickets, the better!
Eating the cupcakes. They were pretty messy. Two suckers, two peach rings, and a monster cupcake made from a regular and a mini cupcake with lots of frosting. Sugar overload? Totally.
Bryce and Olivia.
Bryce (being a Pearson) and Macade.

Bryce is so excited to be four. He knows that he gets to go to preschool next year, and he feels like he is no longer a little kid. Here are some things he loves:

1. The Wii. LOVES the Wii.
2. Regular milk. Not chocolate.
3. Hanging out with daddy. Especially if it's in daddy's truck and they are going to Lowes.
4. Giving butterfly kisses.
5. McDonalds Happy Meals
6. Blankie. Still.
7. Mint anything. Gum, candy mints, mint ice cream.
8. Madelynn. He has a huge crush on her. He talks about her allllll the time. It's a good thing Aubrey lives so far away because then he'd be torn between the two! That would be so tough on a four-year-old :)
9. Playing Ben 10 computer games
10. Snuggling with mommy and daddy

Super cute! I love #8 :) His party was fun and the cupcakes were wayyyy sugar overload but that's what birthdays are for, right? And isn't it nice that you don't have to dress him and help him with the bathroom? Nice.

So where'd you get the idea for the cupcakes? I need a good idea for the boys' birthdays coming up. Help please! Give Bryce big kisses for me (4-year-olds like kisses from aunts, right?)!!!

I love the cupcakes, they are awesome. Bryce better still like his blanket, you went through a lot of work to get it for him. I am glad he had a great day!
