The T-ball post (and it's only three months late!)

Rix participated in T-all again. Three months ago! Man, I cannot seem to catch up lately! I'm so behind on grocery shopping, dishes, laundry, gardening, housework, and sleep. I really need a date night with my husband, but my evenings are spend trying to catch up, feeding Jacob, and running errands - I still haven't got any back-to-school items, and school starts in a week! Phew...

Deep breath.

Okay, so here goes my attempt to catch up on blogging. I still need to post about Jacob's blessing and our Utah trip but first things first.

Rix LOVES sports. And he is good at them too. This is his last year at T-ball and next year he will move on to coach pitch. I think he will love that even more since I already pitch balls to him in the backyard and he begs me to do it all the time. This year he got to play with his cousins Olivia and Hayden, and his friend Ethan. I love watching T-ball - especially the kids who have never played before. They are so funny! My favorite is watching the kids all run for the ball at the same time, even if they have to run from outfield to first base, or short stop to right field. They will all run for the ball. The coach tried to teach them to only go for the balls in their area, and I think by the end of the season he succeeded, but it took a while!

I love the look on his face! Such determination!
Running to first
Getting coached by the first-base coach - this is a serious game!
I missed the end-of-season party because I had literally just had Jacob, so Carissa took these pictures for me. Here Rix is with his trophy and certificate. He was so excited to get a trophy!

Jean shopping is way more fun than swim suit shopping...

Again, Crowdtap and Old Navy have come through! They sent me a coupon for a free pair of jeans, and one to share with a friend (lucky Carissa got to come with me!). I was soooo excited to get a new pair of jeans. Because I just had a baby (a very cute one!) I was in need of a pair that fit, and Carissa had recently lost weight and needed a pair that fit her and wasn't baggy anymore.
And Old Navy has some cuuuute jeans! First off, I love that they have your basic jeans, like these dark bootcut jeans (available in tall and short - for short people like me!):

And these skinny jeans, which come in several colors, fits, and lengths:

But besides the basics, they have some fun jean styles, like trouser jeans and skinny mini flares (so cute!!). And the Retro Flare Jeans are definitely FUN!

Carissa and I had a blast trying on several pairs of jeans. We learned, first off, we were both a size smaller than we thought we were (hooray!!). What better way to celebrate than to buy a new pair of jeans, right? We also learned we both have too much junk in our trunk (do you know what I mean??) to fit the skinny mini flares and too short of legs to pull off the retro flare jeans. Old Navy's basic line of jeans come in tall and short, but their special line of jeans don't. Bummer for us short (or tall) people, but good thing they had some other cute jeans to make up for it!

Skinny jeans! Okay so I still need to loose a few pounds (who doesn't) but I love that they come in "short" so that they don't bunch at the ankles as much! And I love them with flats in the summer, and boots in the winter!
Carissa loves the Dreamer bootcut (in short of course) because it's mid-rise and looks great on her!
Carissa is making friends in her new jeans!
I like the Diva boot cut for me!
Okay new boyfriend - Diva bootcut or skinny jeans? Hmmm...okay. Skinny jeans!

4th of July

The Fourth of July was one of the first nice days in Washington! We got some lunch and headed to the park to play! The boys were so excited to play that they didn't eat very much!
Bryan slept on the grass with Jacob. Carissa threatened to call the police about the dead man on the grass with a baby on him. It did look strange!
After the park we went to Nana's for a barbeque. And some more playing!
These three are trouble!
And this one is just weird!
He is a cutie!!
Jacon was the life of the party!
Woohoo! Par-tay!
We went to a family friend's house to watch fireworks over Gravelly Lake. The people whose house we were at actually are the ones who set off the fireworks right below the deck we were on so it was LOUD! The kids loved it!
