Bryan turned 30 on May 18th and, since 30 is such a nice round number, we decided to really celebrate! On the 18th we went to Cold Stone with Dave and Lindsay (hey, he had a free ice cream!).
But the real party started on Friday, when Bryan and I traveled south to Portland for Cirque du Soleil's "Kooza" and Ruth's Chris for dinner. The whole day was amazing! The show was so great. If you've never been to a Cirque du Soleil show you really should go! Bryan and I went about 7 years ago in Florida, and it was competely different than the one in Portland. And the entire show I think my jaw was wide open in awe. The performers are so talented and unique! Photography wasn't allowed during the show, so you'll have to go to a show to see it for yourself!
We love having Dave and Lindsay to hang out with! But what I love most are the weird flannel get-up that guy behind Bryan is wearing. Hmmm...what's up with that?
Outside the circus tent for Cirque du Soleil.
With our popcorn :) It was a long show, and the popcorn was delicious! This was during intermission.
Where's Celeste??? (Hint: She's the cute one!)
At Ruth's Chris. Loving my steak. I should've taken a picture of Bryan, who was in some sort of wonderful steak heaven.
For Bryan's family party on Sunday I made a golf course out of cupcakes. They were chocolate cupcakes with peanut butter frosting (tinted green. Duh). Basically these cupcakes are Bryan in a nutshell. Golf and peanut butter. That's really all he needs in life to survive.
We combined Bryan's birthday party with Bryce (their birthdays are 6 days apart) so Bryce got to blow out the candles. Bryce's party was the next day, so I made different cupcakes for Bryce's party.
And just to prove that I'm the best wife ever, I got Bryan a new golf bag. I bought it like three months ago and hid it in my parent's garage. Then like last week I asked him what he wanted for his birthday, and he said "You know, I really need a new golf bag." Inside my head I was cheering. For myself. Because I rock.
Happy Birthday to my wonderful husband! Here are some things I love about him:
1. He understands my sarcasm.
2. He tries really hard to be helpful.
3. He hasn't made me learn to cut the grass!! Even though he really wants me to learn so I can help because he hates mowing the yard.
4. He can fix anything. Who needs to call a plumber? An electrician? A repairman? Not I!!
5. I love his laugh.
6. He loves Burn Notice as much as I do!
7. He is an awesome dad to our three crazy (but totally wonderful!) kids.
8. He looks sooo good bald :)
9. He gives the best massages! You know you all are jealous!!
10. He loves me despite my mood swings, hairy legs, and the silly mistakes I make. He just wants me and the boys to be happy. He is amazing!

Not only do I love the flannel guy (he's probably on that people of walmart site somewhere too!) but I love the scary knife pose you have at Ruth's Chris :) I'm glad his birthday was so fun. You seriously make my birthdays for Adam look lame!
Way to mention your hairy legs in a post! I am totally going to Ruths Chris one day, even if we have to take out a loan to do it :) I might snag your cupcake idea for Jage's next birthday, it's too cute!
Happy Birthday Bryan! You guys know how to celebrate. I am still very amazed at your cupcakes.
I love it when you buy the perfect gift without being told. YOU ROCK! We loved seeing you guys! Johnny woke up on Tuesday morning and said "where we going Mom?" I told him that we weren't going anywhere. Then he said in a sad voice "but I want to go see my cousins". So we are excited for when we can all be together again.
Wow, what a great wife you are! And, you're right--you are the cute one! :)
Golf Course out of cup cakes, very clever! Love it. Happy Birthday Bry!
