For those of you who are religious followers of my blog (come on! you know you are one!!!) you will be familiar with Rixism's (click here and here and here and here and here for examples of Rixism's). Anyway, I think it's important - and fun - to write down the funny things my kids say or else I'll forget them! And I love to look back and see how funny my kids really are. This time, Bryce is saying the funny things:
* We were at my mom's school picking up Rix and Olivia from kindergarten, and Bryce saw a Porsche or something like that (um, I'm a girl and I don't know my cars apart ok???). Anyway, Bryce saw the car and freaked out. "Mom! Look at that car!!" He's pointing at the car like it's a rocket on the way to the moon. "Yeah, cool car, huh Bryce?" I'm suddenly aware of how un-cool my minivan it. Still pointing at it, he says "MOM! It's a HOT WHEEL!" Laughing, I now understand his excitement. To a 3-year old, Hot Wheels are like a celebrity.
* Bryce got out of bed the other night asking for a drink of water. He spilled a little down his chin, and joking with him I said "Bryce! You spilled!" He looked at me with all seriousness and said "There was a hole in the cup."
* The other day Bryce saw a big pickup truck next to us at the stop light, and there was a girl in it. He laughed so hard! "Mom! Girls don't drive trucks! Only boys!" And he laughed some more. Really? So gender-biased.
And now Cole...
* Dave was over the other day, and Cole was being a weirdo as usual. Dave asked "Cole, are you being goofy?" And Cole said "No! I'm Mickey!" Hahaha! Two-year-old humor!
* We refer to toes and basically anything on the feet as "piggies". So the other day in the car, Cole told me "Mom, dad needs to cut my piggynails." He totally came up with that on his own!! So funny.

I always say this, but I'll say it again. Your kids are funny and I need to write down my kids things too because I already have forgotten!
Thanks for always making me laugh. When Jayson was little, he had obviously heard Dave and I say something like "There is nothing to see here, move along"...Jayson in his infinite 4 year old wisdom, came up with "There's nothing to see here, mow the lawn." Or Jayson with his own words to "I am a child of God" which goes like...I am a child of God, and he has sent me here, has given me an earthly home...with parents kind of dear. Hello....where did he hear that one. Thanks for making me laugh.

Seriously, every time I read these posts I tell myself I need to write down what my kids say and then I never do it. I love how funny your kids are, usually when they're not even trying to be!
That's so stinkin' funny. From now on, I too will refer to cool cars as Hot Wheels!! Love your boys!
