So those of you who know Rix know he can speak really well, and because he still has the mind of a two year old he says the funniest things - which I call "Rixisms" and I will share them with you (you know, spread the laughs around!!)
* If Rix ever tells you he has the "make-ups" he really has the hiccups. Do you think he spends a lot of time with his mom that the word "make-up" is so prevelant in his vocabulary?
* Rix thinks the sun and the moon are people apparantly - when it's daytime, he says the sun is "awake" and at night the sun is "sleeping" and the moon is "awake". That said, the other day I left him in the car (for like 3 seconds!!!) to grab something I forgot in the office. I came back to find him yelling at something (or somebody?). I asked him what was wrong and he said "The sun keeps getting in my eyes! STOP IT SUN!!! STOP IT I SAID!" He was genuinely mad at the sun. Bad sun! Bad!
* Rix knows he isn't allowed to take the DVD's out of the computer. So of course he does it anyway. I took the DVD away from him today and told him he couldn't watch it anymore because he didn't mind me. He looked at me with squinted eyes (his angry eyes?) and said "You go in time out mommy!" My pleasure Rix.
* Bryan got mad at Rix the other day, so Rix ran into me and said "Daddy needs a nap. He's grumpy! Go put him down for a nap!" How do you explain to a two year old that a nap to Daddy is not a punishment?
* For the past two days, whenever Rix goes potty in the potty chair he says to himself "You did a great job Rix." Atleast he's got his own inner cheerleader!
* For some reason, Rix refers to Bryce as "boy" which is correct - Bryce is a boy, but in context it sounds so, what's the word I'm looking for? If you can think of the word, let me know. He will say something like "That's my dump truck, boy!" or "Boy! Get out of the bathroom!" I think he got if from Jafar on Aladdin. Thanks, Disney.

He is so funny. I'm sure Olivia says funny things but I don't understand her half the time. And I think that using the word "boy" sounds hillbillyish, you know what I mean? Like "Get out of the hay, boy, and finish milking those cows!" Does that make sense? Haha. I made myself laugh.
Yeah! Hillbillyish! I was thinking like a slave driver, like "Hey there boy! Get over here and rub my feet!" but I didn't want to offend all those slavedrivers out there (ahem Rick).
It seems like you're sleepless nights of thinking of things to post are paying off! You are so creative and I love reading your stories. It's the English major in you paying off!!
I was thinking more "subservient" then "hillbilly", like a slave but more politically correct. I can't wait to spend more time with Rix and hear the things he says. By the way, Hayden has an inner cheerleader too, maybe Rix's and Hayden's know each other??
