Six Years and Still Going Strong!

Technically Bryan and I celebrated our anniversary (in style, if I may add) a couple weeks ago at the Oregon Coast. But of course we had to do something on our actual anniversary date, which was Saturday for those who don't know. Our day started off with me getting up at 7am with Bryce, who snuggled in our bed and went back to sleep. I then heard Cole at 7:15, and got up with him, leaving Bryan and Bryce in our warm and comfy bed to snooze for another hour or so. Rix woke up shortly after, and I did dishes and cleaned the bathrooms until I woke up Bryan. He left to work at the Tour of Remodeled Homes (my dad has a house in the tour every year), leaving me with three kids and a messy house (except my bathrooms!!). I dropped the kids off at my mom's to go get the lunch order at Subway for the guys working at the Tour, went back and ate lunch with my mom and the boys, put them down for naps, and then headed to a baby shower for a friend of mine (who is having a BOY!!). After this, I went back to my mom's to wait for the boys to wake up, and then went to my house to get dressed for the Relief Society broadcast, which served yummy pumpkin cake for refreshments. WAIT WAIT WAIT! What is missing in this picture?? Oh, it's Bryan, my other half. We had spent no time together all day?? Was my anniversary lame? Was I sad?? No need to fear my friends. After the broadcast, the Phase II guys and their wives (that includes me!!) went to Black Angus for dinner. It was a blast. The group was so fun together and I think were laughing the whole time. We mentioned to our waitress that it was our anniversary, and at the end she surprised us with a brownie and ice cream dessert that had "Happy Anniversary" spelled out in chocolate (which also happens to be my favorite way to write things out as well - much more tasty than ink). She also brought out huge steins of Coke and Diet Coke (how did she know??). It was hilarious. Then when Bryan was holding the plate up to show everyone, the brownie fell off the plate and landed on a cloth napkin, and the candle almost started the napkin on fire, but I saved the day and blew the candle out really fast. (Phew! Go me!). It was a really fun night and the food was fabulous, but the company was better. I slept terribly because of all the caffeine, but it was worth it. Bryan and I are so lucky to have each other. We both think each other are funny, he lets me nag him sometimes, and we love to hang out with each other more than anything. I am still training him to do dishes without being asked and cleaning up after himself (I think he thinks he married a maid - I do not like to clean all day!) but he makes up for it by fixing up our house and being a good father. I love you Bryan!

Celeste, Celeste, Celeste. How many times do I have to tell you? You are absolutely not allowed to have any fun a) in Washington (no reason to stay!) and b) without me. I'm sorry. You will have to call and ask my forgiveness which I may or may not reluctantly give.

And, it must have been a special day--Bryan shaved for it!!! Congrats on 6 years. I feel blessed to have you as my sister for that long!

What a fun day, even if you didn't get to spend most of it with Bryan. I really need to give Black Angus another try since you all seem to really like it and I haven't been forever! Happy anniversary- I'm glad someone thinks Bryan is funny.

I want a waitress to bring me a Diet Coke and a brownie!!! I'm glad you guys had a good time, both in Oregon and at dinner! Glad to hear you saved the day, didn't start any fires, and got to clean your bathroom, what a way to celebrate! =)
