One of my favorite things I do is write down the silly things my kids say. I have to write them down, because even when I tell myself I'm going to remember their funny moments, I always forget within days! And by writing them down, I can show them someday just how funny they were.
So....here I go!
Cole thinks the Tacoma Dome in a mountain. Every time we pass it he yells "Look at the mountain!". Rix has tried unsuccessfully to prove it's NOT a mountain by claiming that it isn't big enough and that we can go inside of it. But Cole will not be persuaded, and I love passing it now so I can see the pure joy on his face.
I overheard Rix and Bryce discussing who was the "boss" of the house. It started when they were playing a game and Rix told Bryce what to do, so Bryce told Rix he wasn't the boss. So they started to discuss who the boss was. Bryce said, "Rix, mom is the boss." And Rix, who is usuall a momma's boy, argued that is was dad who was the boss. (That is so not true.) And then Bryce said, "No, Rix, who is the real boss?" And then Rix said, "Oooooh, that's Mom." So, Bryan is the fake boss? I agree!
Cole is basically a parrot. He copies everything (remember he says "Idiot!" when he pretends to drive??). So the other day Bryce was throwing a little fit, being all huffy in the corner, and Cole walked over to him and, in a firm two-year-old voice, said "We don't act like that okay? You got it Bryce?" I laughed. He is our mom #2.
Rix still has a Josh Groban obsession. Bryce and Cole like him too, but not like Rix does. So most of Josh Groban's songs are in Italian. And, yes, Rix sings the Italian songs. No, he does not know Italian. It is hilarious, and also very cute, to hear him singing, well, basically gibberish.
Bryce was coughing pretty good the other day. And then when he was done, he got a little concerned, and said "But I didn't even drink coffee!" Get it, coffee - coughing. He thinks coffee makes you cough. I wonder what he thinks goes on inside a Starbucks?
We recently got a scale (how did we live without one for so long!) and the boys weigh themselves about every hour. Bryce always come running in saying "I'm three-five years heavy!" He is slightly confused on age and weight, but we can't seem to clarify it for him. So we just let him say it.
And I do it too - on Easter we were at my mom's house, and I was serving up the raspberry orange cake to everyone. But for some reason, whenever I cut a piece for one of Carissa's kids, the piece would topple over and not be pretty. I felt bad, so I said, "I don't know why your kids's are so ugly!" Meaning their piece of cake was ugly. But what everyone else heard was me saying to Carissa "I don't know why your kids are so ugly!" Carissa's face was priceless, and I was laughing too hard to explain. Classic Celeste.

Oh man I love your kids! They are so funny. I agree that you should do a post like this more often. I can't wait to see you guys next month!
Yeah, that Easter one was classic :) My kids do the same thing with the scale too. And Olivia gets so excited when her weight goes up. I'm like, Wait until you are older dear, you'll be crying then!
Roman thinks our coffee table is called a "coughing" table. Don't you love kids?
