There isn't a lot going on in our little world right now. There have been things, though, that I keep saying in my head, to myself, "Self, you need to write that down!" If I don't write things down, I forget them. I'm a list maker dang it!
Rix has started T-ball. It is a complete reversal of basketball, where he was the youngest and least-talented on the team. In T-ball he is one of the only kids (maybe the only kid!) on the team that has played before. In Lakewood they let you start at age 5, but in Steilacoom (like 2 minutes away) you can start at age 4, so that is where Rix played last year. He is loving it! On a downer though, the team is called the Huskies (as in Univ. of Washington) and their shirts are purple. Rix is ticked about that.
Cole had the hiccups the other day. I pointed it out to him, saying "Cole! You have the hiccups!" To which Bryce said to me, "Well, I have the yawns!" Me too!
Cole asked for a breadstick the other day. I didn't have a breadstick, so I told him so. He got really frustrated (being two is really hard!) and asked for a breadstick again. And again, I told him I didn't have one, but that he could have a piece of bread. He looked at me like I was stupid (in his mind I probably was) and said I had a breadstick in my purse. Now, I may have a lot of junk in my purse, but a breadstick is not one of them. Finally he said "Breadstick for my lips!" Oooooh. I get it. He means...chapstick.
On that same note, he thinks Buttpaste (yes, that is the actually name of the diaper rash cream!! And it works miracles!) is called toothpaste. So when he says he has toothpaste on his bum, he really means Buttpaste. Just a little need to know information.
I bought myself some flowers the other day. Orange lilies that were closed when I bought them, and today they opened! I think I'll buy myself flowers more often.
Rix killed a spider on the trampoline the other day. I love that I have boys who will kill spiders. I refuse to get near them. But he told me he killed the spider so that it wouldn't "spider-fight" him on the trampoline. I would love to see some spider-fighting (from a distance).
I am considering buying the Ben 10 Alien Force DVDs. Not so much for the kids (although I will share) but Bryan and I really like them. And we missed some crucial episodes. Christmas idea maybe?? Huge hint here!
I found out today that our bathroom scale is broken. It's been broken for a week. So the weight that I've been seeing on the scale for the last seven days has been wrong. And it was a really nice weight. So bummed! I may keep the scale just to make me feel happy.
I've made red velvet cupcakes twice in one week. Maybe this is the reason I don't want to know my actual weight :)
I have said several times over the past few weeks that I am sooooo tired of the rain. How are we supposed to get anything done outside if it's raining? Again!! But lately I have been glad for the rain (sort of - I guess I'm sort of fence-sitting on whether I like the rain or not). If it's raining outside that means I don't have to water my garden. Mother Nature is doing it for me. Man, I can be so lazy!

Sorry about your scale. What a bummer. Maybe Rix will wear the T-ball shirt if you tell him it's a blue-ish purple. You need to make me red velvet cupcakes. I had a bite of Carissa's once, that's about it. Gotta go, I have the yawns :)
I think I'd keep the scale. lol. and I love the breadstick story! Super cute! You're a great blogger. Always so discriptive, and full of great thoughts. I don't think people want to know what I'm thinking. they'd get the yawns... :) lol.
I really benefit from your self talks. Thanks for updating your blog! :) And, I would love to watch you spider fight on the trampoline. You could sell tickets to earn a flight here from Washington! Woot woot!
So... you've made red velvet cupcakes twice this week and I haven't gotten ANY? Blasphemy.
I am the lucky recipient of some of those AWESOME cupcakes. They were scrumptious. I personally think that scales are of the DEVIL. They conspire against me and have for years. So, if we ALL just eat more cupcakes, no one will notice. Thanks again for the nummy cupcakes. I feel so honored. Love ya Celeste.
