Roasting Marshmallows and a Horse

Nana and Papa got this cool outdoor propane fire pit. It sits right on their deck, under the roof, so we can enjoy the fire without the glare of the sun or the threat of rain! The kids were so excited about the fire pit, and the thrill of roasting something over the fire was too much for them.

They all sat for almost 20 minutes, patiently waiting for Bryan to get back with the marshmallows...

Isn't is a cool fire pit?

And, finally, Bryan came back with the marshmallows. All we had at home were Easter marshmallows. Mmmm...roasted bunnies :)
I love this picture of Bryan :)

Then, after we were done, I was inside when I heard someone say "There is a horse in the backyard!" Of course, my curiousity got the better of me. We are at Nana's house, and there is a horse?
Ohhhhhh, a horse. I mean, a great dane. But Madelynn could ride it like a horse!
So could Bryce.
And Rix!

Lol... I love that first pic of me. I'm totally thinking "Who gave Rix a pointy thingy?!" Haha... and it as me who said there was a horse in the backyard. Holy cow those things are HUGE! We saw big strawberry flavored marshmallows today at Alberstons and my kids totally want to roast those now.

The kids really could have ridden that dog/horse. Madelynn was brave, Aubrey would have burst into tears just looking at it!

There's something not quite right about roasting bunnies...
