Introducing...the Playset

I have to start off by apologizing. I know, we've been busy. We haven't called, we haven't texted, and we haven't Skyped (sorry Stina!!!). But I have a really good excuse. We are working hard on our house, not only to finish the actual house, but to work on the outside too. We built a new flower bed (it's a huuuuge flower bed!),  and cleared all the debris, dirt, plants, and, if we're being honest, just all the crap that was in the back sideyard. It's now ready to pave - for a pickleball court (we'll do that this spring/summer). And, Bryan with this super sidekick Dave built a new playset for the boys.

I can't tell you how much I love the playset! It's so fun, and to make it better, the weather here has been awesome! The boys get home from the office, have lunch outside, and play out there until Bryan gets home from work. Seriously, the playset is my newest babysitter! And, because they are running around so much, they sleep really well at night.

Here is the new raised flower bed. Right now all I have planted are four viburnums, but as I have more time (and money!) I'll get some flowers and decorative grasses. There used to be four ugly rodies here. So much better!
Rix and Cole on the swings. We also bought an infant swing in the shape of a car. It's super cute!
Here you can see the long slide and the different levels Bryan and Dave built to get to the slides. See the big roof? Bryan built it!
Rix took this picture. You can see the trampoline, the roof of the playset, and the twisty slide. Oh, and Cole playing with Bryan's hammer. Really, what kind of mom lets her kids play with things like that? Oh, that's right, me!

I can see now that you are all ready for us to come visit. You are so thoughtful. Seriously, your yard is amazing! I didn't recognize it at first. All that hard work is paying off! Way to go!

I am so happy for all of your amazing hard work. Your home is awesome. I totally agree with the playset. We got ours when Sasha was a baby and it has provided a billion hours of entertainment, exercise , and enjoyment over the years. Now the daycare children love it as much as my kids did. You are right about having a new best friend. I know our was, for a very long time. Way to go Celeste and Bryan.

Can we pitch a tent and live in your amazing yard? I desperately need a babysitter like that. You guys are doing such a great job with your house, and yard.

So jealous!!! We barely have something to call a yard and you have gardens and babysitters...I mean playsets and trampolines! My kids are going to be your playsets new BFFs when we are there. Maybe Bryan can build us one sometime? One day???

That's such a great playset! You've got a super skilled hubby! I love the slide! My inlaws (where I'm staying right now) have a slide going down one side of their stairs (inside the house) It's pretty sweet. Your house and yard are looking great! It's so hard fixing up a house while living in it!

I seriously covet your backyard. It's big and pretty and total entertainment! One day I'll have that, but by then my kids will be too big for swingsets!
