One of the best traditions we have here in Washington is having the family birthday party. These are usually held on Sundays after dinner, and we have our family come over for cake and ice cream and presents! This time it was my dad's turn. He turned 54 on April 30th. We had everyone over at my house (except Dave who was sick and Lindsay who was in Utah). We made Tyler Florence's Ultimate Cheesecake and Homemade Oreo Cookies. And, just to brag, our picture of the cheesecake looks just like Tyler's on the Food Network site (and to be fair, Carissa made the cheesecake and I made the blueberry sauce).

My Dad is OLD!
The cheesecake! Yum!
And the cookies. They are a little more kid-friendly.
Bryan obviously misses his brothers - he takes this opportunity to tackle my cousin Jonah.
Cole loves Aunt Jodi. He often randomly asks about her and Uncle Ron (or Won, as Cole would say!)
Yum! Jodi and Ron know that my dad's favorite present is always food!
Us kids got my dad this sign. It basically sums up what my dad is all about! When he opened it he just laughed. It was the best reaction ever!
Happy Birthday Dad!!! We love you!

What did dad do with the sign? Mmm... homemade Oreos sound yummy right now.
Great picture of the cheesecake! I haven't made that in forever! I'm glad he liked his present, I better see it posted loud and proud when I visit next.
