On Friday night I got to go to...wait for it....wait....WICKED! Was it worth the wait? I'll answer that for you. YES! I've been wanting to see WICKED since I heard it was here in Seattle, and even though I didn't know the storyline or anything, I had heard the music and LOVED it, and I have never been disappointed by a musical that I've seen live. What can I say? I'm a theater geek! So anyway, Friday night we went to see it in Seattle. Carissa and Adam went, and so did my parents, our friends Pam and Bill, and Lindsay and me. I have to say, I think Linz and I were the cutest couple! We went to dinner at Rock Bottom, where I had an amazing pesto dish and Lindsay gorged herself on a GIGANTIC club sandwich (I'm totally kidding, she barely ate a quarter of it! It was seriously made on an entire loaf of focaccia bread!). After that we barely made it in time to the show. WICKED was playing at the beautiful Paramount Theater. And the show was so fun! It's based on the Wizard of Oz, and it the supposed story of the wicked witch of the west, and how she is just very misunderstood. It was so funny and well written and the music was awesome. Thanks for an awesome evening everyone! And thanks to Bryan, who saved us money and stayed home to watch the kids! (Don't feel too bad for him: theater isn't his thing, and he played XBox with Dave when the kids were in bed!) My next theater desire? Phantom. Live. And awesome seats!

Wickedly WICKED!
Lindsay and I inside the theater. We are serious rebels - you aren't allowed to use flash photography inside, and I forgot to turn my flash off!
Me, Carissa, my mom, Pam, and Lindsay outside the theater
Bill, my dad, and Adam. So my dad is laughing because Carissa couldn't see him because my mom was standing in the way, and because he is a little on the short side, I called him a munchkin. He thought it was funny.

Love the glasses, you rebel you! Sounds like a blast! You forgot how it wasn't the same seeing it without me! :)
Stina! You can be my Phantom date and we will let the guys watch the kids!!!
Lucky you, the book is awesome. I can't wait to see the play someday, whenever it makes its way to Utah. I love the theater too!
I'm so so so so jealous! I LOVE Wicked!!! The music is amazing and so is the book!!! I'm glad you guys enjoyed it! : )
It was a lot of fun! I really want to see Phantom too someday!
I want to see Wicked so bad. If you guys are going to Phantom, I am going with you (sorry to invite myself)! You had a pretty hot date, you both looked way cute.
Dave, I, and the kids went on Saturday night and we had a BLAST. I find myself humming "Popular" at random times. Even in Sacrament yesterday the song was floating in my brain. I tried really hard to think of the Savior....but those awesome costumes and singing was almost too much to resist. We had a great time too.
That sounds like the greatest idea ever!!! You, me, Kristen & the Phantom. Woo hoo!
