So apparently it's a tradition or something to nickname the Pearson grandchildren. Jordyn is the "bug" and Rix is "Bubba" and Austin is "the Dude" and Kade is the "Kademan" (love it!) and, well, Bryce is Chewy. Why you ask? Here is a list of the items and mysterious objects that I swept out of Bryce's mouth in the matter of about 24 hours (and for the record, I never had to sweep anything out of Rix's mouth!!):
1. Something I can only describe as carpet fuzz
2. Insulation (hey, we are remodeling!!!)
3. A vitamin that Rix apparently didn't eat and Bryce found (don't worry, Bryce didn't eat it)
4. Wood chips (refer to #2)
5. A screw (I know - so scary - and again I blame Rix who finds screws like he was a metal detector!)
6. A piece of cheese that fell on the floor - he was lightening fast at reaching for it
7. Hair (probably Bryan's - haha!)
8. A leaf he was chewing like gum - I kept taking pieces out of his mouth for like an hour. It was like he was hiding them from me)
9. A Skittle that Rix so lovingly shared with Bryce (Rix actually came up to me and said - Mommy! I share my candy with Bryce! which I appreciate since I didn't know he had shared)
10. Paper - including a candy wrapper, a card that fell out of my magazine, and a straw wrapper
I'm sure there are other things that Bryce has eaten that I don't know of. Whenever I check on him, I always look at his mouth to see if he is chewing something. And I always look around to see what he can put in his mouth - I even vacuum twice a day! I just think Bryce is stashing chewable objects randomly throughout the house so there is always something for him to chew on. Anyone want to volunteer for the full-time job of watching Bryce's mouth?

This is why we call him Chewy

Hey, Roman is always chewing carput fuzz and paper. Weird. Tell Bryce to stop calling Roman and giving him crazy ideas.
Thanks for your post. My fear for Kademan's life is even more real. Today, I put away Austin's marbles, more beans, and bullet casing that were littered around his room. I think I may need to take the Infant CPR class again....
PS. I'm trying to print recipes from our blog (especially your burger one), and all that's coming out are coloring pictures from Little Einstein and Higglytown Heroes. Who do you think has been on my computer lately? I'm not kidding, we are on page 10 and my recipe still hasn't printed!!!
Stina- that's funny. Whenever I am on the computer Olivia thinks it's because I am printing more coloring pictures from the Disney website. Tell Brent to stop playing with your computer... haha. Anyway, Celeste, Jack likes to chew anything from paper to my hair (while it is on my head!) to his sleeves which are constantly stretched and sopping wet. Gross. Everytime you send a picture of Bryce he is chewing on something. Get that kid a binky! Just kidding. Kind of.
So I know it's normal for kids to chew on things - I just think Bryce chews on things like 1452% more than Rix did - and this a new experience for me. And I realized Stina that your house and my house are so so different: screws and wood chips vs. bullet casings!!! Haha! I thought it was really funny! And Carissa - Bryce won't take a binky and it makes me so sad! I am a binky for my baby kind of mom!!!
Hey, we miss chewy and everyone else a lot. We wish you were here or we were there. We love reading your blog. Tell Bryan he only wishes it were his hair. Love you guys.
