Hurricane Cole

Cole could be a hurricane. Actually he should be a hurricane. They should name a hurricane after him.

Why?
He destroys everything in his path. Just like a hurricane. He doesn't take into account whose items he is destroying. Or how much they cost to replace. Or if they can even be replaced. But it's a good thing we love him. And that he's so cute.

Here is a sample of his destruction. And this was just in a few days time.

He colored on my patio table. It took some scrubbing but I got it off.
Cole "Edward Scissorhands" Pearson decided that paper was boring, and turned to slicing his pants. Don't worry. Last week he destroyed the shirt I got him in Maui with the same slicing technique. He must have wanted a matching outfit.
Cole took a Sharpie to our leather chair. I think Bryan showed great restraint by only putting Cole to bed...alive. He was so mad! He made me come home early from my shopping outing because he was so mad. We tried everything but it didn't come out. We resorted to sanding the leather and then restaining it. It looks better, but not the same.

My only question is...what will be ruined next?

Oh man! Did you try using a magic eraser? This has worked for a friend of mine in the past.

We used Magic Eraser, rubbing alcohol, sunscreen (some weird remedy we found on Google), nail polish remover, Amodex, and anything else we could think of or that was found on Google. Nothing worked. It was so sad! Bryan loved that chair :(

Seriously, he is one crazy kid. I can't believe some of the stories I hear about him! He is cute, though, so at least we know he'll survive :) I didn't see the chair yesterday so I'll have to look at it when I come over next. Maybe you should Cole-proof your house?

It must have something to do with the name...My Cole surpised me one morning as I was paying the bills with a sharpie. All over the back of my shirt...I followed the path of marker to the floor in the hall way to the hard wood in the kitchen then to his highchair next to the table followed by the chair. ARGH!! I feel your pain :)

Ouch! That's frustrating. It's amazing how quickly they move. I would love to hear Cole's thought process. I would love to have seen his face once he saw Bryan's reaction. I can just picture those big brown eyes and his sad cry. Just like Kade's when he's in trouble!

So when you said Cole got marker on your chair I was thinking a small mark in an obscure spot, not all over the chair in plain sight!
