Utah Trip: Day with Stina and Visiting Kelli, Kory, and Ana Lee!

We decided to go down to Brent and Stina's house on Sunday night because (and this is going to shock all of you) Brent and Bryan had an early morning tee time to go golfing. So it made sense to be down there and it was a chance for us all to hang out a bit! Christina's kids and my kids are about the same age so they get along really well, and I love to have my kids get to know their cousins better.

Monday morning we let the kids play, and then my sister Kelli dropped her three kids off while she worked for a couple hours. It was tons of fun having all those kids there! We really didn't have to do much. With that many kids, they can figure out something to do without much adult intervention. And besides, I had my hands full with Kelli's little girl Aubrey, who has a serious case of stranger danger. Maybe it's because I look like her mom? But she wouldn't go anywhere unless I was holding her or within a two foot radius of her. She even went to the bathroom with me.

My kids always learn new things at Stina's house. This time they learned to play Red Rover.

Look at Jordyn's determination! Towards the end they sort of figured out that it was best to call on the smallest person (usually Kade or Roman or Bryce).

Oh he is so cute! That smile has gotten him out of lots of trouble already, and I can tell it's only the beginning!

The kids pulled out the bug catcher and caught a praying mantis! It was pretty cool. Jordyn said they just found it in the grass. That's some pretty good bug hunting!

Something else they learned at Stina's? Dress up! Needless to say, this outfit of Bryce's scared the living daylights out of Aubrey. She freaked. Especially when he came up with the Venom mask on.

After Kelli got done with work, we went back to Kelli's house for lunch (Five Guys!!) and then to a park in Pleasant Grove called Discovery Park with Kelli and her kids. It was such a cool park! It was so big, and even though I know my kids were literally dying of the heat (I know I was, and I was in the shade with a water bottle) they played and played.

Rix and Roman. I could not get Rix to look at the camera because he did not want to take a picture. He just wanted me to leave him the heck alone so he could play without mom papparazzi.

After the park we went and met up with Kory and Ana Lee at this place called Jason's Deli (well, I think it's called Jason's deli...). It was actually way good!

Cole, however, was tired and had no shame in expressing his tiredness.

And then he got his second wind and thought it would be good manners to use blankie as a weapon against Ana Lee. It was not good manners. Poor Ana Lee is such a good sport!

The best part of the deli? Well, besides the awesome food and awesome company? Free ice cream. Yes. You heard me. Free. Ice. Cream. Kory would never make it at McDonalds. His ice cream cone making skills are seriously lacking.
