Halloween is by far not my favorite holiday, and if it weren't for all the candy I pillage from my kids' efforts, I would completely dismiss the holiday altogether. But my kids had a good time, and my waistline is showing how much candy they got. We went to our ward's Trunk or Treat and because it was just our ward, the kids got to go around and around until the candy was gone. We also went to my friend Nancy's house, and then called it a night. It was a little chilly and they already had a ton of candy. Rix definitely got into it this year, while Bryce didn't want to wear his hat and didn't understand the whole thing. He kept wandering off and forgetting to get candy. And any car that had anything spooky or slightly scary, Bryce would make a wide arc around that car, watching it out of the corner of his eye. It was really funny.
Rix getting painted by the professional (me!). Everytime I painted his face, he would squirm because it itched, but I FORBID him from touching his face. At the end of the night at Nancy's house he choked on a candy and was coughing, which made his eyes water, so he wiped his eyes. He looked like the Joker with his smeared face paint!

Bryce loved being a fire man, although he didn't understand the whole idea.

Dave wearing the outfit that Bryan wore on our first date. Yes, that is a purple shirt. Yes, those are leather pants. And yes, either Bryan was at one time really skinny or Dave loves Lindsay's cooking.

Rix in the full get-up.

Cole was a BYU football player (the owie on the forehead is fake although tons of people asked us what happened to his forehead). He was content sitting on Papa's lap and watching the chaos.

Rix trick-or-treating. You can really see his face paint here. Most people didn't even recognize him!

Although he showered the night before, the next morning you could totally tell the paint didn't come all the way off. Bryan called it guy-liner, and I felt like I was in the presence of a rockstar all day.

Sweet guyliner. I wish my liner looked that good! I didn't even recognize Rix and I knew that it was him. Glad you all had fun trick or treating. The kids looked really cute! And I was surprised that you were at work and out of bed after learning that Gregoire was still your governor. I swore you'd be in a denial-induced depression for a while!
Guyliner? Hahaha! I love the facepaint, way to go Rix for keeping it on as long as you did! Roman wasn't a huge fan of scary Halloween things, either. Glad you had fun trunk or treating, your kids are so cute!
Well, I'm way impressed with the makeup you did on your boys. I think it comes from suppressed feelings of lacking a daughter. Yeah right Rix's makeup didn't all wash off. I think you were conspiring to keep it on! Oh! And the question I had--did the guy in your ward win his election? Know who I'm talking about??
Man, those Pearson boys and their sense of fashion. :)
We miss you guys!
