Mother's Day

On Thursday Rix's preschool had a "Mother's Luau" and I got to go without Cole and Bryce. It was so cute! When I first walked into the classroom, Rix handed me a handmade corsage, gave me a kiss, and said "Aloha!" Then we read stories together while we waited for the other mom's to come. After that, we went to the party room, where we had food waiting for us. We ate together and had pictures taken together. We were then treated to a Hawaiian dance by the kids. It was so funny - the hats the boys were wearing (see pictures below) kept getting tangled together and were falling off. Rix was so frustrated! But it was really cute. Afterwards we played outside and then went home. It was really fun to spend one-on-one time with Rix and to see how he is around his friends. On Saturday I took my mom our to lunch and spent some time with her. It was lots of fun to just talk with out any kids around! Mother's Day itself was lame. Bryan didn't do anything for me. How sad!! Isn't this the day you are supposed to show the mother of your children how much you appreciate what she does for your family?? I did, however, receive lots of chocolate from church. Our ward always hands out See's chocolate bars and that is so okay with me! We also got to talk to Bryan's mom on the new web cam she got for Mother's Day. It was fun to see everyone who was there and let them see how big the boy's are getting.

Rix and I at the Mother's Luau. The salad was awesome!

Doing the Hawaiian dance.

Cole and Nana on Mother's Day. She is always so willing to take a kid (or two) from me to help me out. And they love her!

Me and my boys. Rix didn't want to take the picture (obviously), Bryce wanted to take apart the Transformer, and Cole wanted to chew on Bryce. Happy Mother's Day!

What a cute mom photo, totally shows your kids differences =) Sorry your mother's day wasn't about you, but you know you're a great mom and I'll make you breakfast in bed next time I see you.

How sad he didn't do anything for mother's day! Oh well, he does awesome on birthdays and Christmas, right? I love the little preschool party. How cute! And Rix's fish were gross but how fun for him to go fishin' with his dad!
