Pregnancy update - Week 14

So I had my doctor appointment yesterday, and he said everything looked fine. He actually wants me to get my ultrasound at 19 or 20 weeks, which is fine with me. With Bryce he made me wait until 22 weeks - which was so hard! But it is a relief to be out of the first trimester and to be in the relatively "safe" zone. We still haven't decided if we are going to find out the sex of the baby - Bryan is adament on not finding out, but my family really want to pre-shop!!! I am a fencesitter and don't really care - but I would love to have a girl!!! I did go to the appointment with some questions about aches and pains in my back and "uterus" area. And you know what my doctor told me? He said that my body and muscles are getting older, and aches and pain come with age and pregnancy. Comes with age? How old does he think I am? HELLO! I'm only 27! I felt the need after my appointment to run to the nearest store and pick up some anti-wrinkle cream with some Ben-Gay and a pint of the chocolatiest ice-cream I could find. But I didn't. But I should have. Anyway, I'll keep you all updated on the next appointment, which includes all of the tests for diabetes and abnormalities (for the baby, we all know I'm already abnormal - abnormally cute!!) Haha! Physically I feel okay except for the aforementioned old age pains. I crave Mexican food like you wouldn't believe! I think the people at Tijuana Taco are starting to wonder if I am crazy (they have the best taco salad ever). And my belly is starting to show already (thanks third pregnancy), but to the untrained eye, which is most of the human population, I just look fat. Only one person (my blessed neighbor) asked if I was pregnant again. A bold question - what if I wasn't pregnant? - but she made my day. My weight hasn't changed much since my last appointment 4 weeks ago, but nobody told my hips this! I swear they are growing faster than the baby. I can't fit some of my pants - okay, most of my pants - but my maternity pants are still too big. Does anyone have some help for this inbetweener?!? Other than that, I love being pregnant. Yeah I get nauseated and tired, but it is so amazing to grow a baby, and I can't wait to feel it moving around!!!

For that in-between stage, I am the lover of Shade shirts and rubber bands around the button hole. Really, Shade stretches good enough for me and is perfect around 3-7 months. You don't even need their maternity line, just what you have!

I'm with Carissa. I did the Shade/rubber-band-through-buttonhole thing too, and I loved it. I'm glad you make pregnancy seem so funny (although not funny to you), gives me incentive to consider trying for another one some day...for now we'll just practice =)

Kelli!! Ew!! :)

By the way, my hips never allowed for the rubberband, so I just wore maternity pants--the elastic waist is sooooo comfortable. And you could get some cute capris for summer.
