A Date with Daddy

Bryan has been working so hard on side jobs and finishing our house (yeah!) that he hasn't had a day off in a while. Last Thursday he was at a stopping point, and it being a nice day here, we decided to take advantage of the situation and spend time together as a family. Rix decided he wanted to go to the park and to ice cream (he specifically asked for Cold Stone so he could get the "white" ice cream with gummy bears - he always gets this!). We had a good time at the park and, of course, with the ice cream. Who doesn't love ice cream??? Rix liked playing on the toys and Bryce enjoyed crawling at record speed away from us and eating the wood chips on the playground (so gross!).

Where Rix hates the swings, Bryce LOVES them. He was laughing the entire time, and laughing so hard he was drooling. It was really cute - and of course I didn't have the video camera.

Rix likes to play on the playset, and loved running across this bridge. So brave, right?

Rix has been rock climbing with Daddy and Crazy Uncle Dave enough to understand the concept of climbing. He climbed this wall more times than I can count! He's a good climber - Dave would have been so proud of his form (hips IN!). And I think Rix could out-climb me!

And, of course, a Pearson day isn't complete without a little wrestling at the end of the day. I don't know - I think Rix is winning!

Rix is getting to the age where he really adores his dad and wants to do everything that daddy does. So it was really good for Bryan and Rix to get out and play together. We are looking forward to the next Daddy Date!

Hang on, I had to pick myself up off the floor from surprise... you updated your blog! Anyway, I love Daddy Dates, especially when we have husbands like we do, where they are gone until dinner time. Bryan is such a good daddy and your kids are stinking cute!

Hey Girly!

Thanks for the update. Brent looked at your pictures you emailed on snapfish and all he could say was how much he missed you guys. (And the feelings mutual for me, by the way.) So, now that your sisters will both be in Ohio, there's an opening for you to come join me in Utah. I'll plan on it and start looking for houses in Spanish Fork. :)

Love ya!
