Rix was playing Xbox today. The game he was playing is a Spiderman game, and he kept going to the "map" to find out where his enemies were so he could find them and destroy them. So anyway, after going to the map several times he saw a different sign - a dollar sign was showing on the map. He jumped up really fast and said, "Mom! How do I get to the sale? Spiderman is supposed to get to the sale!"
I guess in our warped world a dollar sign in a superhero video game doesn't mean earn more money or anything, it means Spiderman can get a Spidey-suit at half-price. I was so proud!

Look! It's Kory's little protege! Now, I understand Kory better. It's the world he grew up in! Ha ha!
Haha! You totally trained him well. When we are at the store Olivia will ask if she can get something in the clearance section because she knows it's the only place I will buy something :)
Yippee. I hear the voice in my head, "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he shall not depart from it." So see, scriptures CAN help you in everyday life. Clearly, you are doing a fabulous job of training your kiddos for saving and being careful with money. I wish more parents did that.
That's great, you're teaching him to be frugal even in the pretend world of video games! :) Hayden can recognize the "sale" signs at Target and thinks that because something is on sale that we are supposed to buy it.
I love it! What a cutie.
