Silence is the worst sound

Don't get me wrong. I hate whining, screeching, and screaming. But silence is the worst sound of all. Why you ask? If you're a mom you should know this answer. It's when things get quiet that I start to worry - it usually means my children are getting into something they aren't supposed to. It's during these silent periods that I have found my kids coloring on walls, ripping pages out of books, and playing with my camera. Case in point: a few days ago Rix and Bryce were watching a show before naps and I was Christmas shopping online (totally distracted). While browsing walmart.com (see John! A Walmart shout-out!) I thought to myself, Wow, Cole is actually watching this show with the boys! He was being so quiet that I didn't even think to check on him. Needless to say, he was NOT watching the show.

Nope, that's not chocolate (that's what Bryan thought it was). It's lipstick. My poor Mary Kay lipstick! Wasted! It looks like he ate a chunk out of it. But at least he knew where on his face to put it!! And I learned not to leave anything in my purse he can get in to.

He does have beautiful lips now, doesn't he. He is even more kissable now than before. Wow...and you are right....silence is worse than noise.

I totally was going to do a post just like this one, but it involves Jack and water... lots and lots of water. Sorry about your lipstick, which color is it? I have a MK lipstick I don't wear that mom gave me. I'm pretty impressed about his makeup abilities though. It seems natural :)

Sad day! haha. That color seems dark for you? At least now you have an excuse to get a new one. Don't worry I'll hook you up. Love you!

I agree--silence is a scary thing! But, I have to say--aren't you grateful you didn't have a girl first? I say this because--your boys watch your every move and have been caught with your mascara, in your boots, with lipstick, etc. Just imagine how much worse it would be if they had an older sister with nail polish. I can only imagine boys in dresses.

For example, Jordyn is practicing her choreography dance and wore her costume she's borrowing from Miss Debbie. Kade looked at her and told her he wanted to wear it!

How come little boys love the girl stuff? Is it cause there's so much attention that comes with it?

I too am glad that he knew where to put the lipstick! Too bad he didn't get into your mascara or blush, that would have made a much prettier picutre :)
