We aren't big on cutting our kids' hair - only when it because necessary for them to see through it or when we get several comments on how long their hair is getting. So last night we took them to Great Clips for hair cuts. Way over due hair cuts! They were shaggy! Rix's waves were out of control, and Bryce's hair was in his eyes, and he had a rat tail beginning!
Rix "Before". His hair is really thick and wavy, so if it gets too long, we can't control it. And if I put get or something in it, it looks greasy and ghetto. Doesn't he look excited?
Bryce "Before". His hair is really straight and fine, so it just falls in his face.

Bryce was having fun before his turn to get his hair cut. Little did he know what was coming...
We couldn't keep Cole in one place - we basically took over the Great Clips.
We finally put Cole in a hair cutting chair and let him spin around. I don't know if the employees appreciated this, but atleast he wasn't running around like crazy!
Rix "After". He was really good in the chair (he always is!) He kept telling the lady he wanted his hair straight. He hates when I spike it or let it in any way go "up". And they always give the kids hair the "Robyn" side sweep. At home, we don't normally do that (only on rare occassions!!).
We let Rix go first so Bryce could see that it was okay, but apparently it had no effect on Bryce. He did NOT want to be in that chair!
Getting calmer...but still against the whole thing.
Much happier, since the lady gave him a balloon (the cure all for Bryce and Rix) and we told him we were going for ice cream at McDonald's. I'm just glad we don't have to do this for another 6 months or so!

haha cute! That is so funny to me how kids sometimes hate getting hair cuts. But I guess anytime someone you don't know is going to do something do you it could be kind of scary. They look like clean-cut handsome boys now :) They were always handsome before.
I think their haircuts look so good. We cut Jack's hair ourselves and sometimes it backfires in a major way. I think Great Clips is a better option that Mommy! Anyway, cute pictures!
We took Hayden to Great Clips last week because I couldn't figure out how to cut his rat tail without making it look stupid (Remember his haircut in November? I'm awful!). He had the same unexcited look Rix did.
I think Kade and Rix have the same hair. Very cute!

Yes, I do! Sicko. Isn't that how you got Olivia?? :) But anyways, we always tell the boys they are shaggin' wagons.
Oh Celeste. You funny gal. Olivia was given to us by the stork :) I just hope your boys don't learn what it really is after you call them that. I can see some confusion in their future!
