Picnic at the Park

I know, I know - it's been a while since I updated my blog. What a slacker! But in my defense, we have been busy, and without internet at my house my time to blog is very limited - so get over it! I wanted to blog about my wonderfully fun family first since this picnic in the park was so great, and then tomorrow I will blog about the visits we had from Utah (a forewarning - the Utah visits post will most likely be long, so prep for that!). Anyway, between John and Jason and PomPom visiting and Brent and Stina and clan, we decided to spend time with our little family and let them just enjoy the weather. We went for a picnic at the park - we ate hot dogs, pasta salad, and let the kids run wild. It was so nice to just sit and now think about much (except "Where's Rix?" or "Where's Bryce?" or "Do I want another helping of pasta salad??"). With all that has gone on in the past few weeks, this was much needed! And I apologize for the small mass amount of pictures you are about to view - I couldn't pick which ones to leave out! And you know you are all dying to see more pictures of my kids.

Our little picnic - doesn't it look like fun? You'll notice Rix isn't in any eating pictures. Eating comes second to playing to the Rixster.

Rix doing his "moves" that I later found out were learned from Spiderman cartoons. Needless to say we don't watch it anymore.

Bryce will down a hot dog any time, any day, under any circumstances.

I love this picture because not only does it show Bryce will his mouth full of drink (so cute) but it is such a good preface to the next picture (clue - look what Cole is doing).

He is so proud that he attacked (and I mean ATTACKED) Rix's hot dog. Don't worry, we only let him swallow little pieces of the bun.

After all that hot dog bun, Cole did not want his bottle, but he loved the hat on.

Rix and Bryce are really good playmates - and not photogenic at all.

I'd rather the kids get along than be photogenic. Besides, it's a known fact that Hjelm grandkids are photogenic on their own, but once they are with another sibling/cousin, it is officially crazy. Anyway, cute picnic. We don't do picnics, mainly because my kids play and play and not eat (like Rix) but then afterwards they are crying about how hungry they are. And it is sooooo hot here. I loved seeing pics of your kids. Cole and Bryce are seriously getting way too cute, and Rix, well, he's always been cute but he looks the same to me. Cute, but the same cute as before... maybe a little bit more cuter with his Spidermand moves!

I love that picture of Cole! So funny! And, picnics in Washington are just simply...the best! And, how do you get your kids to eat hot dogs on the bun??

I'm with Carissa, picnics would be fun if I didn't melt in this heat! I love that little playground, we're definately going there whenever we make it back to WA. Your kids are dang cute, they get cuter every time I see pictures of them. Oh, and Rix's Spiderman moves reminds me of why we don't let Hayden watch those kinds of cartoons...those moves are addicting to them!
