Our Visitors from the Planet Utah

Okay - I love Utah so don't get offended. I love Utah because it is, to me, another world. Anyway, we recently had some wonderful visits from family in Utah and I'm finally getting around to blogging about it. Our first round of visitors was John, Jason, and PomPom, who came to visit us and while here to attend the Mariners and Red Sox series (or was it they came to watch the series and visit us while they were in town :)???) Either way, it was lots of fun to have them here and Rix and Bryce thought it couldn't get any better - someone to wrestle with at any given moment was a glimpse of heaven for them. They were also willing to help Bryan with the siding, which was so nice. I'm ready to live in a finished house!!! We went with them to the baseball game on Monday and then they went on Tuesday and Wednesday as well. Even though the Mariners lost, it worked out well for the guys because they were rooting for the Red Sox anyway. Bryan also got to go bowling with them and came back bragging about his score - so he must have done well. We also saw "The Dark Knight" in the theater, which is super special because we almost never go to the theater. It was a great movie but scary and stressful, and I probably won't see it again. Here are a few shots of their visit:

Bryan and I at the Mariners game. I love going to Safeco Field - it is so cool and so big!

Cole and John at Sizzler. Cole found a new best friend in PomPom, who gave Cole some bites of ice cream. Jason lying on the floor at Sizzler with Cole. I don't know why he is lying on the dirty floor, but I don't understand most of what Jason does :)

Our second round of visitors came in the form of organized chaos (which is the story of my life anyway - now I just had people to share it with!). Brent and Stina came with Jordyn, Austin, and Kade, and it was a blast! Having four adults and six young kids in a cramped 1400 square foot house was so fun, despite my worries of my house being too small. Although it was a little crazy (it's crazy with just my three kids!), the kids got along so well and they were rarely bored. Rix and Bryce are still asking when they can see their cousins again, and I had to show Rix a calander and point to the day when we will be back in Utah (which will be November 6th for those who don't know). Anyway, I am so glad that Stina and Brent and family came. We hadn't seen them since April and having them here allowed our family to do things we hardly ever do (like go to the beach) and do something we had never done (go to Snoqualmie Falls). Here are some pictures of what we did:

Bryce at the Children's Museum. We'd never been before, but it was free because of the Farmer's Market outside. The kids had a blast, although I think they enjoyed the light-rail train ride quite a bit.

Rix is my future Tyler Florence. Look at the concentration!
Jordyn was so good with Cole. With all the little kids around, Cole got trampled, ran over, and pushed down quite a bit. Jordyn was always there to make him feel better!

We took the kids to the park to let the burn some energy off. They had a great time!

Kade and Bryce were good friends, and I love that you can see the mischief in their eyes. They were really cute together.

Rix and Jordyn eating cupcakes at the beach. It was windy and a little cold, and their little snuggle-fest was way too cute.

All the kids at the beach at sunset. We didn't get one picture with all the kids looking at the camera and smiling. Can you blame us?

Our family at the beach. The boys loved to throw the rocks in the ocean and we enjoyed the view and good food.

At Snoqualmie Falls. We are sans Cole, who Dave and Lindsay watched (with Kade) because we would never had made it down the mountain and over all those rocks with him. Isn't it beautiful?

Rix and the Rainbow - so poetic, right?

We took the kids to the zoo and Bryce and Jordyn loved the water. They actually wanted to drink the spouts, but I'm not sure the water is drinking-worthy. How clean can it be??

This gives you an idea of what our week was like. So fun...and crazy.

My Grandma Betty came to visit and left the day after Brent and Stina. We went to dinner where I got to spend some much needed time with her. I hadn't seen her since Kory came home!

**So doesn't this all look fun?? Who is the next group to come visit us??? And we don't mind repeat visitors!!!**

I want to come! Choose me!!! I've never been to the Children's Museum or Snoqualmie Falls. We should do that next time we're home... which is still up in the air. I'm jealous you got to see Grandma (and a little jealous too that it was at the Ram on the waterfront!). Hopefully we'll have lots of fun in November! Did you realize it will have been almost a year since we've seen you all in then?!

No choose me! It's weird to think that I don't even know when we'll be back in WA, but your blog has me convinced we ought to come soon! Your kids are getting so big and so cute! Bryce and Hayden would be either best friends or worst enemies, both really ornery, although Roman is kind of that way too (lucky me!). I'm glad you had fun with all your visitors, take good notes so we have lots of fun things to do when we make it back there!

Looks like you had a blast. We wish we were in line to come next, it will be awhile though. We are so excited you will be here in November but, does that mean you will not be here for Christmas? Oh if missing Luke walk around is a really a reason to move here let me know so we can give you some good reasons to come, like Luke walking around cafe rio.
