Bryan and I went to Harrison Hot Springs in Canada last weekend for a much needed relaxing vacation. We went with Phase II as a company retreat, so all the employees were there with their wives (except one, who is not married) and some of my dad's subcontractors and their wives. The best part of the vacation was there was NOTHING to do! So we didn't feel guilty if we sat in the hot springs several times a day for as long as we wanted to (so nice!). There was no shame in taking in nap or reading a magazine. We slept in (or tried to at least - I was wide awake at 7 am but refused to get out of bed!) and walked around the little town for an hour or so. We even got a couple's massage, which is something I could totally get used to. Grandma Karen and Cindy watched our kids while we were gone and we are so forever grateful! The kids had such a good time with them and still talk about them. It was especially good for Bryce because now he remembers who Grandma Karen is and he even talks to "pompom" on the phone now.
So I totally don't usually post pictures of me in a swimsuit but here I am mostly underwater so my pasty skin is pretty well hidden. Anyway, the hot springs were like big hot swimming pools. They were very relaxing and a great place to socialize (the body next to me in my Uncle Ron - woohoo!).
We had a big group dinner on Friday night in the Copper Room, which is one of those restaurants where they won't let you in with jeans, much to Bryan's dismay. However the food was excellent and we had a good time mingling with all the people we came with.
The hotel had this huge random stuffed bear in their entryway and everyone else took pictures with it so we did too. Bryan and I had a really good time together! We needed this vacation to recharge.
Bryan and I in front of Harrison Lake (or is it Lake Harrison? Hmmm...). Anyway, the weather was a little chilly for walking around the lake, but it was really beautiful and reminded Bryan and I a lot of Utah's mountains.

Okay, Adam and I totally need a couple's vacation! I guess that's what the Mexican cruise will be, but that could be years away! It looks like so much fun and I am way jealous! The perks for working for Dad! Oh, and that bathing suit (or baby soup, depending on who is talking) is awesome. Where'd you get it?!
So, I think you totally look hot in a swimsuit--where is that post-baby body? You look hot! I'm glad you and Bryan got a break away--once every six years ought to do it, right?
I'm so glad you guys had a good time, you needed the break. I can't imagine what it must feel like to have NOTHING to do! Tell me more about this "nothing" you experienced!
I am glad you guys had a good time. You deserve it. It sounds like your boys had fun too. When are you coming to visit? By the way I can't believe how fast your hair grows.
