My Valentine

For Valentine's Day I made Bryan a three layer red velvet cake with help from Nancy (you know - the lady who made the cheesecake for Bryan and who watched our kids while I was in the hospital having Cole - what a saint!!!) It is delicious! Bryan had a CD made for me for Valentine's Day with four songs on it:

I Love the Way You Love Me by John Michael Montgomery
I Melt by Rascal Flatts
I Love My Life by Jamie O'Neal
Just as Long as I Have You by Don Williams

Now aside from being the sweetest present ever, the CD contains the Don Williams song that I love and haven't been able to find for my blog. Don Williams is an old country singer so his stuff is harder to find. I do, however, have the lyrics of the song. You will all agree that it is the sweetest song ever!!! And if you can find it online let me know!

Well, I love to wander ... On a sandy shore
And I love to wander ...Down the streets of towns I’ve never been before
Take me somewhere out of reach
Lie in unfamiliar sheets and hear the ocean roar
Ask for more I could not do, just as long as you’re there too

Just as long as I have you, I’ll go anywhere
Just as long as you’re there too, I don’t really care
I’ll go anywhere you are, cause with you is where I belong

I’ve just got to have you, to make my life complete
I’ve just got to have you, there to be a part of everything I see
In the windows I walk past, in the mirror in the morning in the photographs
In the candlelite cafes, let me always see your face
Oh, it really doesn’t matter just where the road leads
To the top of a mountain or down to the sea

Just as long as I have you, I’ll go anywhere
Just as long as you’re there too, I don’t really care
I’ll go anywhere you are, cause with you is where I belong
Just as long as I have you....

So I don't think I've EVER heard that song before. If you find the music online somewhere, let me know so I can hear it. How thoughtful of Bryan! Hope your Red Lobster dinner was great!

Now I totally want to hear that song. The lyrics are sweet though. That was nice of him to make you something. It means he actually put thought into it! And that means Bryan has thoughts! :)

I have a confession--you don't like ice ice baby dance and I hate red velvet cake. There, I said it. I can now move on with my life.

I wish you posted a picture of how your cake turned out. I'm sure it's better than my attempts!
