Pregnancy Lingo

My kids are going to be doctors. How do I know this?

At the tender age of 3 and 5, they are using the word "cervix" in a sentence.

Bryce was going through his backpack for me (I used to be really good at this, but it's sort of lost its appeal as the school year comes to an end) and found this survey that I was supposed to fill out two weeks ago (yes, it's been two weeks since I've gone through his backpack). So we were in the office today, and I overhear Bryce telling Cole, "Mom forgot to fill out my cervix." And Cole says, "Bring her her cervix and have her fill it out!" Uh, maybe I shouldn't have been so sharing with my weekly pregnancy emails. I can only imagine what an innocent bystander would have thought of this conversation...Hopefully they don't start talking about placentas or cervixes, or other more embarrassing things, next time we are somewhere public, like standing in line at Safeway.

Oh my goodness. That made me laugh. It will never stop surprising us, the things our kids hear and repeat. Hilarious!

I can totally believe it's been two weeks since you cleaned out Bryce's backpack. I know this because I've seen Rix's backpack! I love that they talk about your cervix like it's nothing. Cherish it, one day they'll gag at the idea of your cervix :)
