Pregnancy Update: Week 35

I went to my doctor's appointment last Friday ready to have a normal boring visit. But no - baby #3 is not coming out without a fight! My last two labors were very similar and "by-the-book". My water broke, I had contractions, I went to the hospital, got an epidural, and delivered without complications. However, baby #3 is breach. Talk about throwing a wrench in the gears! My doctor said there isn't a lot of room for him to move a lot, so he probably won't turn on his own, but he might. I am carrying him so far in that it is hard for the doctor to feel him and one of the ways I know he is still breach is his daily hiccups - I used to feel them really low, but now the hiccups are really high up by my rib cage. So I am scheduled to see him again in a week and a half and if he is still breach then they will try to manually turn him from the exterior. FYI: I have seen an episode of A Baby Story on TLC where they did this to a woman and she was screaming her head off. So I guess it doesn't feel good (Janalyn - did they try to turn Johnny?). Anyway, if that doesn't work they will schedule a C-section which not only scares me (hello, surgery???) but will cost us more money than a regular birth. So let's all root for this baby to turn (cheerleading style will work fine, although prayers and positive thoughts will also do) and hope that next Thursday everything is fine.

Sooo....I'll email you what my former roommate Tracey went through to have the baby turned. I know everything will be fine. We will definitely keep you in our prayers. At least you and baby are healthy and in the hands of great doctors. Love you!

We will definitely keep you in our prayers. I hope things turn out okay on Thursday. Let us know if there is anything we can do (from all the way across the country!) and don't worry- if turning the baby manually hurts, just remember how nice it will be to NOT have a c-section! Love you!

Yeah, good luck with that. Just keep financial thoughts in your head as they try to turn the baby =) Keep us all updated and of course we'll be thinking of you and hoping for the best.
