Grandma, Pompom, Jason, and Cindy drove the long haul from Heber City to Lakewood over Easter weekend to see us and we had such a good time! We did a lot of stuff, even though Grandma and Pompom weren't feeling too well (we had LOTS of pollen in the air - it covered out cars!) and we had to schedule events around nap times. But over all we had lots of good experiences and Rix and Bryce got to know their grandparents better. We told Rix we were going to see the
m again in August, and he said, "Where's August?" He still asks me that when we talk about Grandma and Pompom. While they were here we watched movies, ate wonderful food (thanks Grandma and Pompom!), went shopping, golfing, bowling, and rock climbing. Whew! What a week! We were sad to see them go, but it was really nice to have them here and we look forward to seeing them in August!

He had such a good time! And yes, I didn't get to doing his hair until after the hunt. The Easter bunny brought him lots of candy, but is now regretful and vows next year to buy more books and non-sugar foods.
Bryan and I went to a friend's wedding on Easter Sunday. He was a groomsman so he had to wear a tux. Totally handsome, right? Anyway, the wedding was really good and the reception food was even better! It was a good day despite the fact that we missed out on Easter dinner.
Rix LOVED Aunt Cindy because she was so willing to play with him and read him stories. Bryce thought it was lots of fun to be pushed around in the dump truck, even though his face in this picture doesn't really show the excitement. Bryce loved the attention (and milkshake) he got from his grandparents and his aunt and uncle.

We also kept up the family tradition and went bowling. Rix was the most excited and would be seriously upset if someone else used his precious bowling ball (how dare you!). We were glad that the rest of the Pearsons (i.e. Brent, Kev, Roger, and John) weren't there to witness the atrocity that was the score. The first game we played only one person reached above one hundred with a score of 101. How sad!

Aren't we a cute family? I LOVE the picture of Rix kissing Grandma. It was actually like a 15 second smooch! And I love her facial expression. So classic. We had such a good time while they were here - and we wish they lived closer. Our kids love them! But missing them makes is lots sweeter when we see them again!

As soon as you said "the reception food was better" I got sad because I *heart* reception food (remember? I only go to parties for the food! hahaha!). You guys look like you had a ton of fun and it makes me jealous that you had weather that allowed you to rock climb!
Looks like you had a lot of fun. I don't think I've ever been rock climbing. It seems like they had a nice tour of Washington, makes me miss it!
Um, you failed to mention the amazing bowling skills of one Christina. Hello? Extreme offendedage.
Yes Stina - I know you are the master of bowling! I just knew you would be too sweet to give us all a hard time about our scores - or would you? Hmmmm.
