So Rix is potty training and I think it is more frustrating for me than for him! We started with Pull-ups for a week, but they are like wearing diapers, and he didn't seem to care if he was wet or not, so we went cold turkey to big-boy underwear. We made a special trip to Target to pick out his underwear and he thought it was so cool. He is actually doing pretty good (we even braved Costco in big-boy underwear) but he has at least one accident a day because he doesn't understand how to #2 in the potty chair. And sometimes he gets too busy playing that he forgets he isn't in diapers anymore. So, for me, this has been a test and a challenge of my patience, but I think it is good for me. I'm learning how to manage my stress while cleaning pee of the living room carpet (hey, I think that is called multi-tasking!) and I only wish someone would have told me how completely humbling potty training can be - I mean, I have cleaned up all kinds of accidents so far without thinking twice!

Welcome to the world of blogging! Don't worry- once you start you can't stop. It's addicting. I stay up at night sometimes thinking "What can I blog about tomorrow...?" Anyway, I am excited about Rix being able to potty in his potty chair. I think that it gives me hope that Olivia will someday follow in her cousin's footsteps!
Wow, I'm so motivated to potty-train my own =) Just kidding... glad you're blogging. Now we know you're alive and kicking...and not so dumb you can't figure out the computer...hahaha. See-if Carissa can figure it out I know you can!
Celeste, so good to "see" you. Great job writing about the real things in life. It's nice to know other people struggle and actually live life. As for potty training-good luck. I just wait for my kids to tell me they want to do it. It's worked so far.
