I wanted to post a few pictures of Jake for those of you who don't ever get to see him (and for those who do get to see him, because he is just that darn cute).
Jake is 10 months. He sleeps through the night most of the night, but that has started just recently. Mostly he still gets up around 11pm or so, and one of us is usually awake se we just snuggle with him (which of course we don't mind - he is so snuggly when he's tired!). I actually like when he wakes up around 11pm or so because he'll coo and talk and snuggle and giggle. He's in the best mood! And then after about 20 minutes we put him back in bed and he's happy as can be. It's like he just missed us or something and wanted to hang out.
He also definitely loves being around people he recognizes. He loves his Papa, and when I get into the office in the morning Jake will crane his neck around to see if Papa is sitting in his chair. And if he is, he pushes away from me so Papa will hold him. He also loves his Nana, and even after 3 weeks of her being away he still recognized her and went to her as soon as he saw her! Aunt Carissa is a favorite too because she spoils him to death and Aunt Lindsay, who gets to watch him at church sometimes and magically gets him to sleep. (I still haven't mastered that!)
But mostly Jake loves his brothers, Rix especially. Ever since Jake was born Rix has taken such good care of him. He is always so patient, and loves to make him laugh, and always is singing him songs or getting him toys to entertain him. When Jake sees Rix he immediately lights up and smiles. You can see how much he loves Rix all over his face! And Rix can get Jake laughing like no one else. I'll be in the other room and I'll hear Jake belly laughing and Rix is doing something weird to make him laugh. Seriously the cutest thing ever.
And can I tell you how seriously giddy he gets when he sees a roll of toilet paper? He has got that spinning motion down and can unroll the entire thing in mere seconds.
Here are some pics of how big he is getting!!

Jake is getting SOOOO big!
Wait...there's what on my eye?
Time to do laundry!
Seriously, why can everyone else get this kid to fall asleep?!? Apparently Jake didn't think the Science Fair was all that exciting. No worries, he was doing what we were all wishing we were doing.
Jake and I on the way back from church on Anderson Island (the weather was pretty good for the ferry boat!)
Olivia loves to hold Jake
Jake is a huge helper when I'm doing dishes
LOVE this face
And this face
Just chilling. In the swing. So content. As long as the swing isn't, uh, swinging.
Jake and his (second??) cousin Austin. This was taken at Austin's mission farewell. Austin loved Jake - he saw him almost every day at the office and watched him for Bryan and I at church almost every Sunday when Bryan and I both taught Sunday School. Jake's going to be almost three when Austin gets back!
