Okay, first you should know that I don't have my laptop for the next few weeks. It needed repairs and they had to ship it off. It was a semi-tearful good-bye, but I stayed strong and let the nice guy (geeksquad?) at Best Buy take it. How did I ever survive before without a computer and internet?
In other news, we finally got the garage painted! So really, that means we are almost done. Almost. I have to paint the trim, but it's the garage, so there isn't a lot of trim. Oh, and I have to touch-up the blue where I accidently painted it white (who put me on paint duty??). We have to finish the front porch steps. By "we" I mean Bryan. And he is almost done with the back fence, just a few more top boards and we are d.o.n.e. with that project. Really all that leaves for a project is the kitchen. We have ordered our granite and hopefully we can get it done this winter (please pray for us).
Bryce looooves preschool. I hear from 7:30 am until 11:15 am "When am I going to school?" or "Is it time to take me yet?". And he doesn't have school on Wednesdays, so there is mutiny. But he's doing really well, he is a terrible writer, but loves learning the letters and their sounds and numbers and stuff. We'll work on the writing. Rix is not the best writer either, so it must be genetic, and I have great handwriting, so I can only conclude one thing. It comes from their father.
In preschool they get stickers on their hands so that we know they were good that day. One day, Bryce came home with a sticker on each hand. I said "Bryce! What's with all the stickers?" And he looked at each and I said "I was two good!" Get it? Too good? Two good? Anyway, I thought it was funny.
Oh, and if you haven't heard, which would sort of shock me because Bryan is basically telling everyone including the grocery check-out lady and random people at church, but I'm pregnant. I'm about 7 weeks, and already sick. Ugh. And tired. Last night I was in bed at 8:30. And weird that I get really excited about things like that. Early bed time? I must be getting old. I have my first ultrasound in a little over a week. And no, we are not finding out the sex of the baby. Unless there are babies, then we will. But we will not joke about me having twins (or, yikes, more) because it's not funny. Really. It's not. I would die.
Cole is definitely my child. He saw Bryan's BB gun and got all excited because he wanted to go outside and shoot it. What did he want to shoot? The weeds. Yup. Like not animals or trees or the obnoxious cat the hangs out on the trampoline. He wanted to shoot weeds.
I'm feeling overwhelmed with housework lately. Laundry is piling up, and I can't put it away fast enough. The floors always look dirty. The carpet needs cleaning. Legos are multiplying and replenishing in the boys room and spilling out into the living room. And they hurt to step on. Every Saturday I do a deep clean of bathrooms and the kitchen and all the floors, and make sure all rooms are cleaned, but by Sunday afternoon you'd never know. I need a new game plan. And more energy. Too bad baby+lots of caffeine don't mix.
On a side note, Burn Notice comes back in November. Bryan and I got Netflix, and we have really enjoyed spending time together watching our shows. We don't really watch TV often, but when our Netflix DVD comes, we'll watch a couple episodes together. Of course, we love Burn Notice, but it's on hiatus until next month, so we have been catching up on Leverage (LOVE that show!) and Lie to Me. Netflix has past seasons of these shows, so we get to watch them without commercials. Really the best thing ever. We also love to get together on a Friday or Saturday night and make a big plate of messy nachos with all the fixings and eat and eat and eat and watch a movie. We call it Nacho Night (really creative, I know) and it's on our calander at least once a month. My waistline can't take those nights too often though!
Rix is also loving school. He loves learning new things. He is by far a math child, and will do his math homework without me asking. But anything that requires writing he fights me on. "NO!!! Not the write to self!!!" My English Teacher side is saying, you will love it! You can be creative and silly and it's okay! But my mom side is saying, just write a couple sentences now and we'll do a little bit later. Like baby steps. For writing. Yikes. He also still has the strong desire to be first in everything. Carissa told me that one day he said to her "I was first in line today to go into class from recess!" and she said "How did you do that?" and he said "I stood in the spot where our class lines up for the whole recess!" Really? Instead of playing and running and socializing, he felt it was more important to be first in line to go back to class. That is Rix for you!

I no it sounds selfish a bit, but I am really glad you're pregnant too! Its fun being pregnant with people and not by yourself! I am sorry that your getting sick though!! Bedtime at 8:30 sounds super nice. Is this the first time not finding out the sex of the baby for you? THats pretty brave! We find out on Nov 12th and YES WE ARE FOR sure going to find out! I don't know how you have lived in "project land" for so long. Its draining me of all my desire to do anything! I am glad that things are finishing up....until the next project I guess! We can't wait to see you in a little over a month or so!
Hey Congrats! We're thinking about another one... but not quite ready yet :) I'm so sorry you are sick! That's the worst! I made up a schedule for myself for house work. I only deep clean one room a day, then it doesn't overwhelm me as often :) Don't know if that would help, cuz I only have one little munchkin, but it's working good for me right now. We love Netflix too! We'll have to check out those shows.
writing--definitely gets from his dad and Uncle Jason! And I learned a long time ago that Sundays were the hardest day on my house, so I do better when I clean & do laundry on Mondays--lasts longer. Congratulations on the pregnancy! We're excited! Don't be afraid to kick up your feet and get into a good book-and get a good nap! Love you!
Wow...such great news. On everything...but especially a new baby. It WILL be a girl this time....it has to be. Otherwise the testosterone levels in your house will leave you in jeopardy. Actually a healthy baby is all we ask. We will be praying for you. Continue going to bed early. Sleep is what you need now. My doctors have always said that being pregnant is as tiring as running a full marathon every single day. So, relax, rest, and rejuvenate when you can.
Glad to hear your house is coming along nicely. I can help when we get there. Not that I know anything about painting, but beggers can't be choosers right? And glad to hear your boys are surviving..and liking!...school so far. Hayden is excited to go to school with Rix and Olivia. My boys are competitive too. Today they fought over who got in the car first, who sat down first, and who got seatbelted first. Techinally Aubrey won all three, but that didn't matter. Oh, and silly me, glad to hear you are pregnant! So excited for you and so glad it's not me! Although I'm sorta pissed you're not finding out the gender...you know it's killing everyone else that you're not finding out. I might have to pay off the ultrasound tech to tell me after you leave. Then I can secretly stash away gifts for baby #4 in the right colors. :)
What a long post for not having a lap top! That means you were blogging at work. Slacker.
The garage looks really good. Hopefully you get the backyard and front steps all done soon so you can focus on your kitchen during the winter months.
Super happy for you and your pregnancy. Does this mean I don't have to keep quiet about it to everyone? Sorry you aren't feeling well but I am totally here for anything you need (well, not ANYTHING, but you get the idea) so just call me.
I am so excited for you guys and this pregnancy. I love that you are not going to find out. You are going to LOVE doing this! You guys sound super busy. I am so excited that you are going to be about done with your house. I think it is time to come and see you guys, and all the work you have done with the house. We can't wait to see you guys in December.
Congratulations!! I'm so excited for you!
